![]() ![]() If you're like me and have a thrift-store record player, budget speakers, and you don't need to blow the doors off with volume, this is a fantastic value for the price. If you have an audio system worth thousands of dollars, or magically-sensitive audiophile ears, don't buy a budget preamp like this and expect the world. Overall, if you want an affordable, reliable way to preamp your record player then this works a treat. Perhaps if you have very expensive and sensitive speakers, better ears than mine, or you listen at high volumes then you'll notice noise. Some reviews mention this device produces a high amount of noise through the speakers, but I have yet to detect any. The construction definitely exceeded my expectations for the price. ![]() Nice to see they included a quality power adapter. The included power adapter has a beefy cord and is reassuringly heavy. It has 4 soft feet on the bottom which is a nice touch. Screen printing on the case is crisp, clear, and seems like it will stand up over time. The shell is a sturdy metal that doesn't flex when you apply pressure to it. Sitting in the same small room as my record player, this preamp gets the job done and provides clean audio to my amplifier. Connects to Turntable Output to ing Phono Level Up to Line Level12V DC Adaptor Included Load Impedance: 10K. I paired this with a Lepy amplifier, and it works a treat. If you're also like that, then my review is aimed at you. I don't buy $300 rare vinyls, I finger-through the used vinyls at my local record shop and buy 5 for $20. I simply enjoy listening to music via vinyl.
